Nigeria has once again reiterated its commitment to ensure the safe return of all Nigerian migrants, continued protection of internally displaced persons across the country, while ensuring the rights and dignity of refugees are protected.
The Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Tijani Aliyu Ahmed, stated this when he received the Head of Department from Turkish Migration Presidency, Hunkar Ibn, who led his team to Nigeria to explore how Nigeria is handling issues of returnees, from psychosocial support, integration and also share experiences on promoting effective migration management in the country.
Both parties believe the partnership would strengthen migration management in Nigeria, promote an efficient social protection network and expand areas of shared benefits for both countries.
