Okpebholo Names Igiebor Chairman Of Edo Ecological Funding, Management Commission

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the nomination of Terry Igiebor as Chairman of the Edo State Ecological Funding and Management Commission, in a move aimed at strengthening environmental management and grassroots development across the state.

The announcement was made in a special government statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.

Igiebor, described as a distinguished businessman and grassroots politician, is widely recognized for his commitment to community development and the empowerment of people at the grassroots level.

He previously served as a member of the Edo State Audit Service Commission, where he played a role in promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance.

According to the statement, the nomination will be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for legislative consideration and confirmation, in line with statutory requirements.

The appointment is expected to bolster the state’s efforts in managing ecological funds and addressing environmental challenges while advancing sustainable development initiatives across Edo State.
