‎Suspected Vandal Arrested By Minna Authorities, Stolen Electrical Fittings Recovered

The Niger State Police Command apprehended a 20-year-old suspect, Suleiman Mohamed, for allegedly vandalizing and stealing electrical fittings from an unoccupied residence in the Tunga Low-Cost area of Minna.

‎Police sources revealed that the arrest happened after Tunga Low-Cost area residents made a distress call. They reported suspicious movement inside an empty apartment owned by the Imo State Command’s Police Commissioner.

‎A Security analyst, Zagazola Makama, shared the details of the tragedy in a post on X on Wednesday, June, 10, 2026.

‎According to the sources, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Tudun-Wada Division immediately mobilised a team of officers to the scene upon receipt of the information.

‎Items recovered from the suspect include vandalised electrical cables and fittings allegedly removed from the building.

‎Police authorities said efforts are ongoing to arrest an accomplice believed to have participated in the vandalism.

‎The suspect is currently in custody while the investigation continues to determine the extent of the damage and possible involvement in other related incidents.
