Truckers, Cargoes’ Body Mobilises Operators For Continues Voter Registration

The Lagos State Truck and Cargo Operators Committee (LASTCOC) has commenced the mobilisation of its members for Continuos Voter Registration (CVR) towards the 2027 general elections.

In a statement signed by Alhaji Lukmon Shittu Zangalo, the association’s chairman, the group informed the members that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the final phase of the Voter Registration (CVR).

The statement made available to Daily Independent on Thursday, indicated that the exercise would be concluded on Friday July 10, 2026.

It stressed: “If you have not registered, this is your last chance.

“If you want to transfer, replace list or damaged Personal Voter Card (PVC), or update your details, do it now.”

The association informed the members that they can do either the online registration by visiting the INEC portal, or physically by going to any INEC State or Local Government Area Office in Lagos

Stressing the need for the truckers to be captured, the association stated: “Truckers move Lagos. Without PVC, your voice is silent when decisions about roads, parks, levies, and your business are made.

“Your PVC is your power. Your vote is your protection.

“Let us ensure the voices of truckers are counted in Nigeria, and especially in Lagos State.

“Let us come out in our numbers before July 20, 2026.”
