2027: Anambra APC Chairman, Anosike, Commences Harmonization Of Groups, Sues For Peace, Urges Support For Tinubu’s Re- Election

 The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Anambra State, Senator Emma Anosike, has sued for peace in the state chapter of the party as he moves to harmonize all interest groups and mend fences ahead of the Presidential elections slated for February 16,2026.

The incumbent President and leader of the party. Bola Ahmed Tinubu would be seeking  re-election for a second term in office in February.

His overtures are a sequel to the final resolution last Tuesday in Awka of the crisis within the chapter by a committee of the APC National Working Committee (NWC), led by Dr.Ben Nwoye, during which all feuding parties were reconciled, and Anosike’s position as the authentic chairman of the chapter reaffirmed.

In keeping with this, Anosike, who spoke at Umueri, Anambra East Council Area of the state on Friday, said he was extending an  olive branch of peace to all members of the party who, in one way or the other, may have felt aggrieved.

He  harped on the need for unity of purpose among members,  insisting that it is only a united APC that can drive the victory of the party in the coming elections.

He  expressed optimism that a lasting peace and unity within the party would be far-reaching in actualising the party’s dreams, which will actualise in a massive victory next year.

  He reminded party members that when their differences were sunk and unity guaranteed, they would have paved the way for the APC to achieve its aim as a political party in Anambra State.

The State Chairman explained that rather than fight, APC Leaders, Stakeholders and members in Anambra State should find a way out of achieving peace within the state chapter of the APC.

“Let me also say that the time has come for us to make peace in the party. People should not see peace as defeat. Peace is what we need to move the party forward”, he said.

 Anosike acknowledged that the party’s internal processes had left some members dissatisfied and pledged to lead a more inclusive administration and party structure anchored on consultation, respect and collective responsibility.

 He  also promised continuous consultations with party Leaders, Stakeholders and members at the ward, local government, senatorial and state levels to strengthen unity within the APC.

He noted  that the party could only achieve electoral success through unity and discipline, adding that all internal differences would be resolved.

“Our first campaign must therefore be reconciliation. Our first victory must be victory over bitterness,” he said.

He urged members to place the interest of Anambra APC and the re-election of President Bola Tinubu above personal grievances.
