Defection: Zamfara ADC Slams Aslem Aliyu, Says Party Structure Intact

The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zamfara State Chapter yesterday said Dr Aslem Aliyu is not a duly registered member and does not have a valid membership card of the party.
It stressed that her departure does not affect the structure, leadership, or operations of ADC in the state.
In a statement by Abdulhakeem Umar, the state publicity secretary of ADC, said “we acknowledge that Dr Aslem Aliyu has publicly aligned herself with the All Progressives Congress (APC). We respect the constitutional right of every Nigerian to freely associate with and belong to any political party of their choice.”
“However, according to the records available to the Zamfara State Chapter of the party, Dr Aslem Aliyu was not a duly registered member of the ADC in Zamfara State and did not possess a valid ADC membership card. Consequently, her departure does not affect the structure, leadership, or operations of the party in the state.
“The ADC remains committed to working with loyal, duly registered members who believe in the party’s vision and are prepared to contribute to its growth and success.
“We also wish to make it clear that any other person who is not genuinely committed to the ideals, Constitution, and objectives of the ADC is free to follow the same path. Our focus is on building a disciplined, united, and principled political party with members who are dedicated to its progress.
“We wish Dr. Aslem Aliyu and others who may choose a different political path well in their future endeavors,” It stressed.
