Favour’s Death: Sentence Odogwu Asaba to life imprisonment – Delta Gov’s aide tells court
Ossai Ovie Success, media aide to the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori is seeking a life imprisonment for the Asaba-based content creator, Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu of Asaba, who was recently arrested by the police for allegedly raping a 20-year-old girl identified simply as Favour.
DAILY POST reports that the content creator was arrested by operatives of the Delta State Police Command on Wednesday following a petition alleging that he raped the young lady, who later committed suicide.
It was reported that the 20-year-old girl travelled from Warri to Asaba after the content creator invited her under the pretext of helping and mentoring her in content creation.
Reacting after the arrest, Ossai in a post on his official Facebook page on Thursday suggested life imprisonment for the suspect.
According to him, anything short of a life sentence will not be accepted.
He wrote, “Give Odogwu of Asaba life sentence: If you are a judge and this case is brought before you in any court.
“Do justice by ensuring Odogwu of Asaba is given life sentence. Anything short of this, we won’t accept it. I am really disappointed in Odogwu of Asaba.”
