Gaza’s Resistance Security says it executed man accused of role in killing Al-Qassam commander
The Resistance Security in the Gaza Strip said on Wednesday it had executed a man convicted of collaborating with Israeli intelligence, accusing him of helping carry out assassinations targeting leaders of Palestinian resistance factions, including the late commander of Al-Qassam Brigades, Izz al-Din al-Haddad.
In a statement received by Quds Press, the group said the man, identified only by the initials M.M., was executed after what it described as the completion of “all revolutionary procedures”.
It alleged that he worked with Israeli intelligence and was responsible for facilitating “several massacres” during the war in the Gaza Strip. It also accused him of assisting in the assassinations of several resistance leaders, most recently Izz al-Din al-Haddad, chief of staff of Al-Qassam Brigades, also known as Abu Suhaib.
The statement said the execution was part of efforts to hold collaborators with Israel accountable, adding: “This is the fate of collaborators who work with the occupation and support its plans aimed at undermining our people’s steadfastness and unity.”
It also called on anyone who had “chosen the path of the occupation” to return “to the national ranks” and surrender to the Resistance Security before “it is too late”, according to the statement.
