Sixty Palestinians, released by the Israeli military, arrived in the central Gaza Strip through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Monday, Anadolu reports.
The 60 prisoners who arrived in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip became the largest single group of prisoners handed over since the prisoner exchanges.
Family members welcomed the released detainees upon their arrival at the Nasser Hospital.
ICRC announced that it has facilitated the transfer of more than 2,500 released Palestinian detainees since 2023.
In a statement, the humanitarian organization highlighted that it has been unable to visit or gain access to Palestinian detainees held in Israeli detention since October 2023.

Reiterating its call on Israeli authorities, the ICRC urged the provision of full information regarding the fate and whereabouts of all detainees, as well as immediate access to visit them and monitor their living conditions.
According to Palestinian prisoner institutions, the number of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons has risen 83% since the start of Israel’s genocide in Gaza in October 2023, exceeding 9,600 detainees compared with around 5,250 before the war.
Despite the ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, the Israeli army has continued its daily attacks in Gaza, killing at least 1,203 Palestinians and injuring 3,900 others.
The Israeli army killed more than 73,300 people and injured 174,000 others in a brutal offensive in Gaza since October 2023.
