Jurgen Klopp lands new coaching job until 2030

Germany on Friday appointed Jurgen Klopp as its new head coach of the national football team.

Klopp signed a contract that runs until the 2030 World Cup after leaving Liverpool in 2024.

The 59-year-old won six trophies as Liverpool manager at Anfield in nine years.

Klopp replaced Julian Nagelsmann in the role after his Germany side were knocked out of the 2026 World Cup at the Round of 32 stage against Paraguay on penalties.

He had reached “an agreement” to take over the national team on Saturday, 11 July, following talks in New York.
