Lagos Community Heads Enlarge Political Structures To Help Vulnerable Nigerians

The Baale of Ijedodo, Oba-elect of Ijeododo, and Chairman of the Lagos State Baales’ Forum, Chief Abu Jelili Ododo, has said the newly appointed leaders of the forum will expand political structures to support vulnerable Nigerians.
Ododo noted that Lagos State Baales Forum has institutionalized Leadership with Key Advisory Council Board of Trustees (BOT) and directorate appointments ahead of 2027 general elections
Lagos State Baales Forum Convener, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, while speaking with journalists during a meeting held in Lagos, noted that the forum has appointed Razaq Olushola Ajala, Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, and Folashade Ambrose-Medebem to its Advisory Council BOT, and Directorate.
Bamigbade said that they will operate in direct alignment with Alhaji Mutiu Are, the Secretary of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), and also the Chairman of the Lagos State Baales Forum Advisory Council.
According to him, the initiative formalizes the apex body of traditional community heads across Lagos State, aligning its political machinery toward grassroots mobilization and civic compliance.
“Razaq Olushola Ajala will serve as a Co-Chairman, Advisory Council. He is the immediate past executive chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA and frontline Campaign Director for Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Abdullahi Sesan Olowa (member, Board of Trustees): The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Chairman of Conference 57. Folashade Ambrose-Medebem will serve as the Principal Director. She is the Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade, and Investment in Lagos State.’’
According to Bamigbade, the strategic positions are designed to institutionalize the forum’s reach, adding that the primary focus remains establishing a credible platform to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
