Lagos Continental Hotel has been recognised as the “Best Luxury Business Hotel in Nigeria 2026” at the Hotel Managers Conference Africa 2026.
Group General Manager of Continental Hotels Group, Mr. Karl Hala, dedicated the award to the entire hotel team.
The award was presented by the Convener of HMC Africa, Mr. Oluwagbenga Sunday, during the conference held at Lagos Continental Hotel in Victoria Island.
According to the organisers, Lagos Continental set the benchmark for luxury business hospitality in Nigeria through “exceptional service, world-class facilities and operational excellence.”
Receiving the award on behalf of the hotel, Hala said the recognition is a testament to the culture of service that defines Continental Hotels Nigeria.
“This award belongs to the entire Lagos Continental family. Through our passion, professionalism and dedication of every team member, we have once again demonstrated what true hospitality excellence looks like,” Hala stated.
The veteran hotelier said the honour reflects the work of every staff member, from frontline to support teams.
“Each one of us is an outstanding ambassador of Continental Hotels Nigeria. Whether you welcome guests at reception, manage operations behind the scenes, or ensure every detail is perfect, you have played an important role in earning this prestigious recognition,” he said.
He emphasized that excellence in hospitality is never an individual effort.
“Awards like this are never won by one person — they are the result of teamwork, commitment and an unwavering desire to exceed our guests’ expectations every single day,” he noted.
He commended the leadership of the hotel’s General Manager, Mr. Christoph Schleissing, and the entire Lagos Continental team for sustaining standards that compete globally.
“I heartily congratulate the entire Lagos Continental team on this outstanding achievement. Be proud of what we have accomplished together. This is not just an award for a hotel. It is an award for the standard we are setting for Nigerian hospitality,” Hala concluded.
The HMC Africa 2026 conference brought together scores of hotel managers and industry leaders to discuss sustainable growth, talent development and service innovation across the continent.
