One feared killed, two​ rescued in attack on Kwara community

One person was reportedly feared dead, while two victims were rescued in an attack by armed bandits on Aboki community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Residents of the community were thrown into fear and confusion on Tuesday as heavily armed unknown gunmen stormed the community in the deadly attack, according to security reports reaching DAILY POST.

The invasion forced terrified residents to flee for their lives. While many escaped into the surrounding bushes, others sought refuge in Kaiama town as panic engulfed the once-peaceful community.

During the attack, the assailants brutally killed a young man and abducted two other residents before attempting to flee with them.

Fortunately, the swift response of security operatives changed the course of the incident.

The gunmen were engaged in a fierce operation, leading to the successful rescue of the two kidnapped victims.

The attack has once again heightened concerns over the worsening security situation in parts of Kaiama Local Government Area, with residents calling for stronger and sustained security measures to prevent further loss of lives and property.
