Ozalla Monarch Confers Prestigious Chieftaincy Title On TOOF Founder, Godfrey Ogbeide

BENIN – The Founder of The Omoarebu Ogbeide Foundation (TOOF), Godfrey Omoarebu Ogbeide, has been conferred with the prestigious traditional title of Aigbugbakheini I of Ozalla Kingdom by His Royal Highness, Christopher Iluobe Atti Okramen XI, the Onatare of Ozalla Kingdom.
The colourful investiture ceremony took place on Friday at the palace of the Onatare of Ozalla Kingdom in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
Speaking during the ceremony, the royal father, represented by High Chief Dr. Osumah Obaze, the Speaker of Ozalla Kingdom, said the honour was bestowed on Ogbeide in recognition of his outstanding leadership, meritorious service to humanity, and unwavering commitment to the progress, unity, and development of the people of Ozalla Kingdom.
“It is with profound pride and honour that I officially announce the conferment of this revered traditional chieftaincy title upon a worthy son whose dedication to humanity and exemplary leadership continue to inspire,” the monarch said.
He added: “This honour is in recognition of your outstanding leadership, meritorious service, and unwavering commitment to the progress and unity of our people. Your dedication continues to bring honour to Ozalla Kingdom.”
The royal father explained that the title Aigbugbakheini I symbolizes strength, courageous leadership, resilience, and the sacred responsibility to protect, preserve, and advance the peace, prosperity, and cultural heritage of Ozalla Kingdom.
Responding after the conferment, High Chief Godfrey Omoarebu Ogbeide expressed profound appreciation to the Onatare of Ozalla Kingdom, the traditional council, elders, and the entire people of Ozalla Kingdom for finding him worthy of the distinguished honour.
He described the title as a call to greater service and pledged to remain steadfast in promoting community development, youth empowerment, education, and humanitarian service in Ozalla Kingdom and beyond.
“I am deeply humbled and sincerely grateful to His Royal Highness, Christopher Iluobe Atti Okramen XI, the Onatare of Ozalla Kingdom, for this great honour. I also thank the traditional council and the good people of Ozalla Kingdom for their confidence in me,” Ogbeide said.
“I accept this revered title with a deep sense of responsibility. It is not merely a recognition of past efforts but a charge to do even more in the service of humanity, our communities, and our cultural heritage. By the grace of God, I will continue to uphold the values of integrity, selfless service, and exemplary leadership that this honour represents.

During the ceremony, Ogbeide’s wife, Mrs. Tonyon Boyo-Ogbeide, was also honoured with a traditional chieftaincy title as Edeilokun 1 of Ozalla Kingdom, in recognition of her support for humanitarian causes and her contributions to community development.
Ogbeide further reaffirmed the commitment of The Omoarebu Ogbeide Foundation (TOOF) to improving lives through sustainable community development programmes, noting that the recognition would inspire him to expand the foundation’s humanitarian interventions across Edo State and beyond.
