‘Party Rock Anthem’ singer Lauren Bennett passes on at 36

British pop singer Lauren Bennett, best known for providing the female vocals on LMFAO’s 2011 global hit Party Rock Anthem, has died at the age of 36.

Her death was confirmed by her former girl group, G.R.L., in an emotional statement shared on the group’s Instagram page on Monday.

Expressing their grief, the group described Bennett as a cherished friend whose warmth and kindness touched countless lives.

“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” the statement read.

“Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter and countless memories she gave us.”

The tribute continued: “Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved. Rest peacefully, sweet Lauren. You will always be in our hearts.”

The cause of Bennett’s death has not been officially disclosed.

According to reports, an inquest into the circumstances surrounding her death has been scheduled by the Kent and Medway Coroner Service, with proceedings expected to continue until October.

Bennett reportedly died on May 29, 2026, but news of her passing was made public several weeks later through the statement issued by her former bandmates.

Born in England, Bennett first gained public attention after appearing on The X Factor before joining the pop group Paradiso Girls.

She later achieved worldwide fame in 2011 after featuring on LMFAO’s chart-topping Party Rock Anthem, one of the biggest dance hits of the decade, before becoming a member of G.R.L., where she contributed to songs including Vacation, Ugly Heart and Wild Wild Love

Bennett’s death marks another tragedy for G.R.L., which previously lost member Simone Battle in 2014.

Tributes have continued to pour in from fans and fellow musicians, who have remembered Bennett for her powerful vocals, vibrant personality and contributions to pop music during the early 2010s.

She is survived by her family, including her young daughter.
