Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has challenged veteran artiste Terry G to a celebrity boxing match, claiming the face-off would help revive the singer’s career.
Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s Rubbin’ Minds on Sunday, Portable said he would rather step into the ring with fellow entertainers than social media personalities.
“If I fight Terry G, people will remember him. I prefer facing fellow entertainers. I have no interest in fighting social media personalities, including VeryDarkMan and Carter Efe,” he said.
Portable, who described himself as the pioneer of celebrity boxing in Nigeria, also claimed he has earned millions of naira from his previous fights.
Looking ahead to his rematch with actor Charles Okocha on July 31 in Lagos, the singer expressed confidence that the contest would draw a large crowd.
He added that a victory over Terry G would be followed by an international tour, with stops in London, the United States, Russia, Malaysia, Dubai and South Africa.
