The wife of the Imo State Governor, Chioma Uzodimma, has sparked conversations online after advising men to treat and care for their wives when they become financially successful, saying such kindness is often rewarded during difficult times.
Speaking in a message directed at men, the First Lady said every woman desires the best for her husband and is more likely to stand by him when challenges arise if she was loved, respected and cared for during the family’s prosperous years.
“To all the men out there, once you start making money, take good care of your wife because every woman wants the best for her husband. If you take care of your wife while you have money, when the chips are down, she will also take care of you.”
She, however, emphasized that financial resources should not be the foundation of a marriage.
“Even though, money is not everything.”
