The Dr. Agbu Kefas Moving Forward Agenda Campaign Council has strengthened its leadership structure with the appointment of three Deputy Director-Generals, a spokesperson, and a secretary as preparations intensify for the 2027 governorship election in Taraba State.
Director-General of the council, Hon. Danladi Baido Tijos, announced the appointments in a statement issued in Jalingo, stating that they take immediate effect.
According to the statement, Dr. Bulus Maiyaki was appointed Deputy Director-General for Taraba South Senatorial Zone, Hon. Kabiru Jalo for Taraba Central Senatorial Zone, and Hon. Albasu Kunini for Taraba North Senatorial Zone. They are expected to coordinate campaign activities across their respective senatorial districts.
The council also appointed Hon. Emmanuel Bello as its spokesperson, while Hon. Josiah Sabo Kente, PhD, will serve as secretary.
Tijos said the appointments demonstrate the campaign council’s commitment to building a strong and experienced leadership team to drive Governor Agbu Kefas’ “Moving Forward Agenda” through effective political mobilisation and strategic coordination across the state.
He congratulated the newly appointed officials and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, discipline, loyalty, and commitment.
The Director-General also called on the appointees to work closely with party leaders, stakeholders, support groups, and volunteers to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and expand support for Governor Kefas ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
