President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed confidence that Nigeria will soon overcome its security challenges, particularly those affecting the northern region, as his administration intensifies efforts to restore peace and stability across the country.
According to reports, the President said his government has put in place decisive measures aimed at dismantling criminal networks responsible for terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other violent crimes. He assured Nigerians that ongoing security operations would continue until lasting peace is achieved.
Tinubu stated that the Federal Government remains committed to strengthening the nation’s security architecture by providing the armed forces and other security agencies with the necessary support, equipment, and intelligence needed to combat criminal activities effectively.
The President acknowledged the hardships experienced by communities affected by insecurity, especially in northern Nigeria, where attacks by armed groups have disrupted farming, economic activities, and daily life. He, however, maintained that the government is making significant progress and that the security situation will continue to improve.
He urged Nigerians to remain patient and cooperate with security agencies by providing credible information that could assist in the fight against criminal elements. According to him, national security is a collective responsibility that requires the support of citizens alongside government efforts.
Tinubu also reiterated his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property while ensuring that every part of the country enjoys lasting peace, stability, and economic development.
