Zulum Appoints Four Special Advisers, Senior Technical Assistant on Reconstruction

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the appointment of four Special Advisers and a Senior Technical Assistant on Reconstruction as part of efforts to strengthen governance and support the state’s post-insurgency recovery.
The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dauda Iliya, and shared on Saturday. The new Special Advisers are Engr. Ali Goni Lawan, Hon. Ali Sheriff Galgal, Hon. Bukar Aliyu Daja and Hon. Makinta M. Zarami.The governor also appointed Engr. Gujja Bukar Dalori as Senior Technical Assistant on Reconstruction.
According to the statement, the appointments were made pursuant to the powers conferred on the governor under Section 196(1) of the 1999 Constitution, as amended. The appointments, the statement said, are intended to strengthen the administration’s efforts in governance, reconstruction and sustainable development following years of insurgency in the state.
Governor Zulum congratulated the appointees and urged them to justify the confidence placed in them through dedication and selfless service. He also charged them to deploy their experience and expertise towards rebuilding communities, consolidating peace and improving service delivery across Borno State.
