Additional radio traffic described the vehicle as “erratic[ly] braking, swerving and driving with no taillight,” prompting one officer to request, “Can we send all units down towards this area, please?”
Minutes later, another responding officer reported, “Talking with the driver. Driver is out of the vehicle,” confirming the stop had been made. Spears was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on March 4 and later released pending court proceedings.
