CCTV Captures Moment Armed Robbers Shoot Gold Buyer Dead At Agona Nkwanta
CCTV footage has captured the moment a gold buyer identified as Seth was reportedly shot dead by armed robbers at Agona Nkwanta in the Western Region.
The footage shows two robbers carrying out the attack, with one positioned at the entrance of the shop to prevent anyone from entering, while the other confronted the gold buyer inside.
The robber is seen instructing the buyer at the counter to hand over all the money and gold in his possession.
Moments later, he dragged the buyer away from the counter before shooting him, then proceeded to collect the cash and gold from the counter.
The two suspects appeared unaware that their actions were being recorded throughout the robbery.
The video has since circulated online, adding to growing concern over the vulnerability of gold-buying shops to armed robbery attacks in Ghana’s mining-rich regions.
Police are yet to comment on the incident, and it remains unclear whether any arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
