Nigerian rapper and entertainer Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, has urged young people to take their time before committing to marriage, particularly advising against rushing into it before the age of 30.
The 35-year-old rapper shared his perspective during an appearance on The BTS Reality podcast, where he spoke about personal development, maturity and the societal pressure many young people experience to settle down early.
According to Falz, the twenties are often a period of self-discovery, growth and preparation. He explained that many people at that stage are still working on becoming emotionally, mentally and financially stable.
The rapper encouraged young adults to use their twenties to gain valuable life experiences, learn more about themselves and establish personal goals instead of allowing societal expectations to dictate major life decisions.
Falz further noted that reaching one’s thirties can bring greater clarity about personal identity, priorities and future plans. He suggested that this deeper understanding can help individuals approach marriage with greater maturity and a stronger sense of responsibility.
