Eedris Abdulkreem, Nigeria’s Legendary Music Icon, Hails Gov Otti On Developmental Policies In Abia

Nigeria’s legendary musical artiste, Eedris Abdukareem, has come out to hail the Executive Governor of Abia State, saying that he is an epitome of development.
The “Mi O Shakomo” star has always spoken about bad governance in Nigeria and has also launched a musical series about governance in the Nigerian State on the nation’s Governors’ scorecard in all the states of the nation.
The Nigerian State, according to him, has been plagued by corrupt practices, and this has been the reason for the nation’s underdevelopment.
Speaking to Daily Independent, a friend and ally of Abdukareem, a Rastafarian of repute, who also doubles as the head of the Rastafarian Movement in Nigeria, Mike Pam, pointed out that Nigeria’s leaders don’t like doing what is right, and the result is that the citizens of an oil-rich country like Nigeria, where people would want to come and invest, are majorly impoverished.
According to him, the World Bank reports that Nigeria’s poverty rate climbed to approximately 63% (representing roughly 139 to 140 million people). This increase is driven by high food inflation, persistent macroeconomic adjustments, and slow job creation, despite broader governmental revenue growth and economic reforms.
However, in Abia, the Governor is doing wonderful things, trying to put rights, while some elements are bent on trying to bring Governor Alex down.
He said, ” Abia governor is one of the governors that have shown that governance is for all the people. Oil subsidy has been removed, electricity subsidy has also been removed. The fact is that every state governor is responsible to the citizens of the state.
“How will you explain that the billions of Naira being given to states under this administration are not touching the people, yet Nigerians are suffering? While governors are pushing the bulk to the Federal Government?
“Nigerians deserve the best government as the citizens of this great nation!, He concluded.
Abdulkareem, on his own, made it known that he was in Abia; Governor Otti’s administration has done a great job in repositioning the state and in this series of ‘Report Card Series’ on Governors and governance in Nigeria, every governor, according to him “, Dem go hear their report card for positive or negative” in as long they do their job well or neglect the people of Nigeria.
He said Alex Otti has done a lot for Abia State. My Mother’s people also stay in Abia; when I went there some years ago, the place was really dirty, the bridge that links one of the communities! God!… I went with my team, Pam with me; my team, we slept in the bus sometimes when a hotel ain’t available to us for almost two months, but what Governor Otti is doing is great, and he is our poster Governor for the man of the people.
“Development is what we want in Nigeria, and that is the reason that we would have this programme about performing, non-performing governors in the nation because Nigerians cannot be slaves in their own country!” The Nigeria Jagajaga superstar said.
