‎“Her Spirit Cries For Justice” – Yomi Fabiyi Calls For Postponement Of Temitope Osoba’s Burial Following Controversies Surrounding Her Death

Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has called for the burial of his late colleague, Temitope Osoba, to be put on hold.

‎‎He noted in a press release that if she is buried before the police commence an investigation, her body may later have to be exhumed for an autopsy. He further noted how Temitope left marks and traces to nudge for investigation, and one shouldn’t be in a hurry to bury her.

‎‎According to him, there shouldn’t be a need to disrupt her peaceful rest once she is buried. He stressed that a little patience is required.

‎‎”These allegations/rumours of rape, likely murder, extortion, etc, are quite disturbing.

‎”‎The burial should be on hold, please.

“‎This girl’s spirit cries for justice.

‎‎Do not bury Tope Osoba now until a full investigation is done and established”.

‎‎Recall that following the news of her death, her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, in an interview, alleged that the actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State, contrary to widespread speculation that she died from complications arising from breast cancer.

‎‎Onadeko also dismissed several allegations surrounding the actress’ final days including claims that she was poisoned and maltreated before her death. According to the prophet, he was informed of Osoba’s death by an unidentified person who called him around midnight.

‎‎Onadeko, who is the Shepherd-in-charge of CCC Onibuore Cathedral, Bogije, Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State, stated that he did not know the particular police station where Osoba died but reported himself at a nearby station. He said the actress had gone to see one Mrs Kehinde Osoba, who he said also runs a church, shortly before her death.

‎‎Clearing her name, one Prophetess Kehinde explained that Tope Osoba was on the way to her place before the scene where she jumped out of the ‘Korope’. She said that immediately Tope, her friend, and the driver were released from the police station, they came to her place, but she wasn’t home, so they left.

‎‎Last Wednesday, LEADERSHIP reported on the death of Temitooe Osoba. The cause of her death remains unknown, as reports claimed that she died while en route to the hospital.

‎‎In a viral flyer posted on one of the late actress’ social media pages, the Yoruba actress would be laid to rest on Thursday, 13th of August, 2026, at Saint James’ Anglican Church, Iperu Road, Ogun State. An interment at Iperu Cemetery ground would follow the burial.

‎Setting the record straight on her death, Alesh Sanni made it known that she didn’t die of cancer. He admonished the public to allow her people to grieve and post how they choose to.
