Controversial activist and social media personality, VeryDarkMan, has reacted to comments made by human rights lawyer Femi Falana regarding his invitation to speak on national security at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt.

Falana had reportedly questioned the decision to invite VeryDarkMan to participate in a discussion on the security of the country, arguing that individuals invited to speak on such a sensitive subject should have relevant experience or contributions to Nigeria’s security architecture.

Reacting to Falana’s position, VeryDarkMan expressed disappointment with the respected lawyer, stressing that his reaction was not because Falana failed to support him but because of the reason he gave for questioning his invitation.

In a statement shared online, the activist said: “I am really disappointed in the great Femi Falana after listening to his submission on my invite to the NBA conference in Port Harcourt. I am not disappointed because he didn’t support me; I am disappointed because of the pointless reason he gave as to why I was invited.”

VeryDarkMan’s response comes amid growing conversations over the NBA’s decision to feature him in a session focused on national security.
