Senator Sunday Steve Karimi was the center of attraction on Sunday in Isanlu as the people of Yagba Federal Constituency turned out in large numbers to reaffirm their faith in his representation and to declare renewed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of 2027.
The Yagba Federal Constituency Town Hall Meeting, held at GYB Hall, Isanlu, brought together political leaders, Council Chairmen, lawmakers, former lawmakers, traditional rulers, youth groups, women associations and persons with disabilities under the theme, “Continuity for Sustainable Development in Kogi West Senatorial District.”
It was more than a gathering. It was a scorecard session, and Senator Karimi passed with distinction as he reeled out his accomplishments, with more in the offing, thanked the people for their support for the APC-led administration under President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and in the state.
Addressing the crowd, the Senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly thanked the people for their unwavering support and promised to remain committed to quality representation and the delivery of more democratic dividends.
He highlighted ongoing interventions across the district in infrastructure, education, youth empowerment and community development, stressing that sustained collaboration between the people and their representatives remained the key to accelerated growth.
“Continuity in leadership will guarantee the completion of ongoing projects and attract more federal presence to Kogi West,” Senator Karimi told the gathering. He urged constituents to remain united and continue supporting the administration of President Tinubu, noting that the Renewed Hope Agenda was already yielding results across the country.
Before the town hall, Senator Karimi paid homage to Oba Moses Babatunde Etombi, Chairman, Yagba East Traditional Council. He assured the Royal father of his support for the traditional institution, describing traditional rulers as custodians of culture and critical partners in peace and security.
The Oba expressed satisfaction with the Senator’s representation, urged him to do more, and offered prayers for his political aspiration, saying he should “write his name on the sands of time.”
Inside the hall, participants had direct interactions with their Senator. They commended President Tinubu for his Renewed Hope policies and also expressed appreciation for projects and empowerment initiatives facilitated by Senator Karimi across Kogi West.
Several speakers described Senator Karimi as a responsive and accessible representative whose projects and empowerment programmes have positively impacted many communities in Yagba and beyond. Council Chairmen and lawmakers from the federal constituency, women and youth leaders all testified to the impact of his interventions.
The stakeholders also used the occasion to call for greater unity within the All Progressives Congress, APC, emphasizing that collective effort will strengthen the party ahead of future political engagements.
The meeting ended with a resounding vote of confidence in both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Sunday Steve Karimi. Participants unanimously pledged their continued support for both leaders in their quest to sustain development and good governance in Kogi West and Nigeria at large.
