NUPENG President Visits President Tinubu, Reaffirms Union’s Commitment to Workers’ Welfare

The National Executive President of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Comrade (Dr. Otunba) Salimon Akanni Oladiti (JP), has paid a formal courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting, described as cordial and constructive, highlighted NUPENG’s commitment to dialogue, partnership, and collaboration with the Federal Government in advancing the welfare of Nigerian workers, particularly those in the oil and gas sector.

During the visit, Oladiti presented a commemorative plaque to President Tinubu in solidarity with his administration and its policies. He expressed gratitude to the President for his consistent support of Nigerian workers and reaffirmed the union’s readiness to work closely with government stakeholders to strengthen industrial harmony.

“We appreciate Mr. President’s dedication to the welfare of Nigerian workers, especially in the oil and gas industry. NUPENG remains committed to constructive engagement and protecting the rights of petroleum workers,” Oladiti stated.

The NUPENG President was accompanied by a strong delegation of senior union leaders, including: National Deputy President, Comrade Oladejo Ebenezer Akin; National Deputy President, Comrade Prince Moses; Acting General Secretary, Comrade Onohwohwo Otite; National Treasurer, Comrade Baba Usman Kaumi; National Trustee, Comrade Omokero Israel; National Auditor Comrade Leke Adepegha; National Auditor, Comrade Ogbodo Thompson; Comrade Tina Smart, National Financial Secretary; Comrade Abubakar Bagzumta, Vice President, Kaduna Zone; Comrade Victoria Modupe, Vice President, Lagos Zone.
