Osun APC, Oyebamiji halt campaign activities, disclaim further publications
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, have announced the cessation of all campaign activities ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
The party and its candidate said they stopped all campaign activities relating to the August 15, 2026 governorship election at 11pm on Thursday, August 13.
In a statement signed by the Osun State APC Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the party notified members of the public and relevant authorities of the decision.
The APC and Oyebamiji also dissociated themselves from any campaign activity or publication carried out in their names after the stated deadline.
According to the statement, anyone engaging in campaign activities in the name of the APC or Oyebamiji without authorisation, permission or consent from the party and its candidate would be acting independently.
“Any such activities or publications are hereby disclaimed as not forming part of the authorized instructions of the party or its candidate,” the statement said.
The party urged the public and relevant authorities to take note of the disclaimer as the state proceeds to the governorship poll on Saturday.
