Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, on Tuesday said a former governor of the state, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, is jealous of him and his family.
Adeleke claimed Oyinlola has never supported his political pursuits due to his jealousy.

Speaking during a Town Hall meeting in Osogbo, Osun State capital, the governor described Oyinlola as a paperweight politician.
He said: “Governor Oyinlola is so jealous of me and the Adeleke family, he contested with my late brother. In fact the first governor of Osun State brought him to do politics after he retired from the military. He has never supported the Adeleke family but we are always supporting him.
“It’s good that he did not support me because he has a trend and maybe if he had supported me, anything could have happened.
“When I was running for Senate he did not support me, in 2018 when they cheated me and President Buhari came to Osun to say that this election we will win by remote control, he didn’t support me, in 2022 he didn’t support me in his hometown and unit, I always beat him.
“All he does is talk and say proverbs, is it proverbs that people will vote for? Immediately I won he came back to me saying don’t let us fight because I have a forgiving spirit.
“Oyinlola complained to me that he doesn’t have a car and I gave him a new car. He collected the new car, then he went to APM from APM to APC, saying he will not support me. He’s a paperweight.”
