The opposition peoples democratic party(PDP) in Kebbi state has set record of the first time in over twenty years failing to field candidates in major elections as they were conspicuously missing in INEC list in Kebbi state.
The list embodies names, positions and credentials of all governorship candidates across qualified political parties who indicated interest to participate in 2027 general elections.
However, according to list as seen by our correspondent and confirmed by communication department of Kebbi state office of National electoral commission parties who fielded candidates include ruling All progressives congress with governor Nasir Idris as Guber candidate, while the earstwhile minister of justice and attorney general of the federation, Abubakar Chika Malami as qualified Guber candidate of the opposition African democratic Congress ADC .
Basiru Musa will fly the governorship flagg of Zenith labour party while Umar Usman Besse is the governorship candidate of NDC and a host of others.

The list also carries AA,SDP,APM among listed candidates which include all their members of the state house of assembly, Senators and members of the house of representatives .
However, efforts to speak to Kebbi state peoples democratic party image maker,Sani Dododo were unsuccessful as his number wasn’t going through as the time of filling this report.
Investigations revealed that the party’s inability to field governorship candidate were not unconnected with the crisis within the party from top to bottom.
The party also witnessed mass defections to ADC and Apc where they lost huge political big wigs of the party hence unable to reposition the party to make it viable and ready for elections.
