Two pygmy goats have caused quite a stir in Portland, Oregon, Nigeria after they were caught on security camera boarding a TriMet city bus before being ushered back off by passengers and the driver.
The goats were seen following passengers onto an FX2-Division bus, with the doors closing before anyone realised the unusual passengers had joined the ride.
TriMet said someone had called 911 to report two pygmy goats wandering loose in the area, prompting the agency to review its station cameras, where the brief public transit attempt was captured.
After their short-lived ride, the goats wandered off toward a nearby shopping centre and disappeared from TriMet’s cameras, with police unable to locate them at the time.
However, the mystery has since been solved. Portland resident Rae Anderson came forward to identify the goats as his seven-month-old pets, named Billy the Kid and Billy the Goat, revealing that they had escaped from his yard and wandered to a nearby bus stop before hopping aboard.
TriMet confirmed the goats have since been safely reunited with their owner.
