Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi has opened up about her strained relationship with fellow actress Sotayo Gaga, revealing that the two have not spoken to each other for several years.
Speaking during an interview with African A-List, Ronke explained that their relationship did not end because of a major fight. According to her, the pair simply had a disagreement that eventually created distance between them.
The actress revealed that their last conversation was about five or six years ago. However, despite the long silence between them, she noted that Sotayo showed concern when she was ill.
Ronke disclosed that after Sotayo heard about her health condition, she sent her N150,000 as a gesture of support. She described the act as a significant gesture, considering the state of their relationship at the time.
Despite the gesture, however, the two actresses have reportedly remained distant. Ronke said they now see each other but often walk past without exchanging greetings.
She stressed that she does not consider herself to be at war with Sotayo, describing their situation as one that stemmed from a disagreement that has kept them apart for years.
“We hadn’t spoken in a long time. Not that we were at war; we just had a little disagreement. The last time we spoke was 5 or 6 years ago. But when she heard I was sick, she sent me N150,000. And since then, we haven’t spoken. If we meet at a party, we walk past each other without even a greeting”.
