2026 Ballon d’Or: Top 5 rankings as nominees are unveiled
The top five favourites for the Ballon d’Or have emerged ahead of the official unveiling of this year’s shortlist.
France Football, the organisers of the award, are expected to unveil the shortlist of nominees today (Tuesday).
According to Kalshi, England captain and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is leading the race for the prize.
Kane has been given a 65% chance of winning the prestigious award, ahead of Spain and Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal, who has an 18% chance.
The top five rankings are completed by France and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe (9%), Spain and Barcelona midfielder Rodri (5%) and Argentina and Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi (3%).
The current holder of the award is PSG’s Ousmane Dembele, who won it ahead of Yamal last year.
