35-year-old mother arr£sted for st@bbing her 6 and 3-year-old children, leaving one facing possible amputa@tion

A 35-year-old South Carolina mother, Taylor Gosnell, has been arr£sted after allegedly st@bbing her two children, aged 6 and 3, in a vi%lent att@ck inside their home in Spartanburg.

Authorities said the children suffered approximately 50 st@b wounds between them, with some of the injur!es reportedly cutt!ng down to the bone. The 6-year-old sustained particularly severe injur!es and could face possible amput@tion of some fingers and potentially an arm because of the extent of the w0unds.

According to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, investigators believe Gosnell used a kn+fe and a blun₦t object during the att@ck.

The children were found alone and covered in bl@od after deputies responded to the home around 2:30 p.m. Saturday following a welfare check. Their grandmother and Gosnell’s ex-boyfriend had reportedly gone to the house after the 6-year-old called his grandmother saying he was hungry.

Both children were rushed to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where they were described as being in stable condition and expected to recover.

Authorities also reported finding bl@od throughout the house, while televisions and mirrors had allegedly been damaged, leaving broken glass and debris scattered around the property.

Gosnell reportedly returned home shortly after the children were discovered and appeared distressed and was speaking rapidly.

She was taken to an ambulance for a mental health evaluation but allegedly attempted to escape and had to be handcuffe£d to a stretcher. She was denied bond and faces two counts of attempted m¥rder, with additional charges for possession of a we@pon during a vi%lent crime.
