A woman has been arrested in Abuja for allegedly pouring boiling water on her neighbour following a disagreement over who could use a shared section of their compound.
The incident happened on September 4 in the Lugbe area.
According to police, the victim had moved a pot of boiling water to an area of the compound designated for the suspect.
The suspect then allegedly picked up the pot and poured the hot water on the victim’s back, causing serious burn injuries.
The victim is currently in medical care receiving treatment for the burns.
The suspect was brought before a court and remanded in custody.
The case is scheduled to continue on September 16, 2026.
