Nigerian singer and songwriter, Adekunle Gold, has revealed how an exciting opportunity to write for American superstar Beyoncé eventually became an emotional experience following the death of his father.
Gold made the revelation during an interview with One54 Africa, in which he recalled writing the song in 2019, when he was thrilled at the prospect of contributing to a project with the global music star.
“I was so excited about writing for Beyoncé because that’s my GOAT,” Gold said.
