Madagascar midfielder, Rayan Raveloson has declared that the Barea are not scared of the Super Eagles, DAILY POST reports.
Corentin Martins’ side will be up against the Super Eagles in a 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday one encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Friday.
The Super Eagles are overwhelming favourites to win the tie, considering their pedigree and the gulf in class between both teams.
Raveloson, who plays for Turkish club Amedspor, is, however, optimistic that they can upset the three-time African champions.
“It’s football. They are humans like us, so we are not scared,” Raveloson told reporters in Uyo.
Madagascar defeated Nigeria 2-0 the last time both countries met in a group game at the 2019 AFCON finals in Egypt.
