A Senior Political Assistant to the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, Demola Olarewaju, has criticised the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, over a video showing him running to board a flight at an undisclosed airport.
Olarewaju, in a post on X on Saturday, described Obi’s action as a sign of poor time management, arguing that there was “nothing presidential” about the incident.
The reaction followed a video posted by an X user, @BolanleCole, showing Obi running towards a departing flight ahead of an interview.
The X user, while sharing the video, wrote: “Give it to PO in contents creating.”
Reacting to the video, Olarewaju said Obi’s action did not project the image expected of a presidential candidate.
“Nothing presidential in running around, shows poor time management actually. This is not a good look for him,” he wrote.
Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, is the NDC presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, while Atiku is the presidential candidate of the ADC.
The incident has generated reactions on social media, with supporters and critics of the former Anambra governor offering differing interpretations of the video.
