Eat the Watermelon! — Watch Moment Market Woman Force-Fed Thief Who Was Caught Stealing Her Watermelon 

A watermelon seller in Ayerede, in the Bono East Region, has taken her frustration out on a suspected thief in an unusual way, forcing him to eat the very produce she accused him of repeatedly stealing from her.

“Eat the watermelon,” the woman was heard shouting as she struck the man, her patience clearly worn thin after what she described as a pattern of theft from her business over time.

According to her, this was not the first occasion the suspect had allegedly helped himself to her stock without paying, and the confrontation appeared to be the culmination of mounting frustration finally boiling over.

Despite being ordered to eat, the man struggled to get much down at all, appearing to have completely lost his appetite under the pressure and tension of the moment.

Rather than the punishment coming across as satisfying, the scene instead played out as visibly uncomfortable for the suspect, who seemed more focused on enduring the ordeal than actually consuming the fruit placed in front of him.

The improvised punishment has since drawn a mix of reactions online, with some finding humour in the unconventional approach, while others raised concerns about the physical treatment he received alongside being made to eat under duress.
