Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has opened up about the emotional impact of losing her colleagues, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, and veteran actor Kola Oyewo.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Yoruba, the actress described the news of their deaths as heartbreaking and said she was completely unprepared for it, particularly Taiwo Hassan’s passing.
Bukky revealed that she was unaware that Ogogo had been battling an illness. She added that even after learning about his health condition, she never wished or prayed for his death.
According to the actress, the loss of her colleagues came as such a shock that she was left speechless and unable to carry out her normal activities for some time.
Her words…
“Uncle Kola Oyewo, we both did Ogogo Ewo, Soworode.
It was sad news for me, and it caught me unaware, especially Ogogo. I didn’t know Ogogo was sick; even though he was sick, I didn’t pray for him to die. The news left me shocked to the extent that I didn’t know what to say or do”.
