Nollywood actress Mosun Filani has spoken about a long-standing claim surrounding her marriage, clarifying that she is not her husband’s second wife.
Speaking during an interview with BBC Yoruba, the actress explained that although her husband may have been married before, she did not meet another woman living with him when she got married to him.
Mosun Filani also addressed her decision to take a break from acting. According to the actress, she stepped away from the movie industry to dedicate more time to raising her family.
She noted that her children are now grown, giving her the opportunity to return to what she loves.
The actress has since made her way back into acting, marking her return to the industry after spending years focusing on her family.
“I stopped acting to focus on my family. I’m not a second wife; my husband might’ve had a marriage before, but I didn’t meet anyone in his house.
My kids are grown; they know left from right, and it’s time for me to get back to acting”.
