Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo has sent a message to the presidents of the United States and Israel following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address at the United Nations General Assembly.
In a statement reacting to the speech, Dachomo criticised the Nigerian government over what he described as its failure to speak about attacks on Christians in Nigeria while speaking out on the situation involving Palestinians.
He also thanked Netanyahu for raising issues concerning Israel’s position on the international stage.
Dachomo said:
“I have to thank you, Benjamin Netanyahu. My government… did not speak about the genocide in Nigeria. But they were able to stand and speak for the Palestinians, and today the Terrorists have bvtchered yet another set of Christians.”
The pastor’s comments came after Netanyahu addressed the 81st session of the UN General Assembly on Thursday, September 24, where he defended Israel’s military actions and rejected allegations of genocide in Gaza. Dozens of delegations also walked out as he began his speech.
Dachomo has repeatedly spoken publicly about attacks affecting Christian communities in Nigeria. A Christian advocacy organisation recently described him as a minister who has continued to speak about the plight of Christians affected by violence.
