Weeks after the burial rites for her late father, popular Yoruba actor Ogogo, his daughter, Kira, has opened up about the emotional pain she continues to experience following his death.

Kira took to Instagram on Thursday, September 3, 2026, to share a heartfelt video featuring one of her cherished moments with her father before his passing.

Ogogo reportedly died after a brief battle with cancer. His eight-day Fidau prayer was held on Monday, August 31, 2026, in Ilaro, Ogun State, as family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers gathered to honour his memory.

In the throwback video shared by Kira, she could be seen enjoying a lighthearted moment with her father at a party. She playfully asked him for a kiss on the cheek and insisted that he grant her request, capturing a tender father-daughter moment.

However, the joyful memory appeared to stir deep emotions for Kira, who used the caption to express the pain she has been carrying since his passing.

She admitted that her grief has sometimes turned into anger, revealing that there are moments when she feels she “hated” her father for leaving her behind.

Kira also spoke about how much she misses his hugs, describing the pain of losing him as the deepest form of heartbreak she has ever experienced.

Beyond the pain of his absence, she revealed one of her biggest regrets: wishing she had more time with her father.

According to Kira, she desperately wanted Ogogo to live long enough to meet her second child, who is yet to be born.

Her emotional tribute has since resonated with followers, many of whom expressed sympathy and offered words of comfort as she continues to navigate life without her father.

In her own words:

“My daddy. The best, I can’t even get a hug anymore. Sometimes I 8 you for leaving me…. I don’t know, jare. This is what heartbreak means, mehn. I love you, daddy, but I just wanted more time, more time, more timeeee to meet my second baby. Thank you ooo TAIYE”
