Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has opened up about an unusual experience from his younger days, claiming that he was once paid to take part in a staged miracle during a church service.
The veteran actor made the revelation during an interview with Feel Right News TV, which was published on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
Solade explained that the incident occurred before he gained recognition in the Nigerian entertainment industry, when he was still a student and relatively unknown.
According to him, he was approached to pretend to have a physical disability as part of a purported healing miracle. He disclosed that he accepted the payment and later used the money to buy drinks.
Recalling the incident, Solade said:
“I have been used for miracle then, when I was not popular, I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink then I was a student. The people involved are still alive; I don’t just want to mention names.”
The actor did not disclose the identity of the church or the individuals allegedly involved in the incident.
However, he stated that those who participated in the alleged staged miracle are still alive, while choosing not to mention their names publicly.
Solade’s revelation has sparked interest, particularly because of his claim that the incident happened at a time when he was still a student and had not yet established himself as a prominent figure in Nollywood.
