The Lagos State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Obafemi Hamzat, recently visited Harvesters International Christian Church, where Lead Pastor Bolaji Idowu made a heartfelt appeal on behalf of Lagos residents.
Following Hamzat’s introduction to the congregation alongside his running mate, Damilola Solayo James, Pastor Bolaji addressed the politician directly, urging him to remember the struggles of ordinary Lagosians if elected governor.
“If you emerge as Governor sir, ejo sir, let it be easy,” the cleric said.
The Yoruba word “ejo,” which means “please,” added a strong sense of sincerity to the pastor’s appeal as he called for policies and leadership that would make life more affordable and manageable for residents.
His message reflected the concerns of many Lagosians who continue to grapple with the rising cost of living and other economic challenges.
Hamzat, who had earlier greeted the congregation, smiled as he listened to the pastor’s heartfelt plea.
