Award-winning comedian Real Warri Pikin has pleaded with Nigerians to be more understanding following the viral moment she shared with singer Timaya at the 2026 AFRIMMA Awards in Dallas, United States.
The comedian, who emerged as the Best Stand-Up Comedian at the ceremony, spoke out after a video from the event made the rounds online.
In the viral clip, Timaya was seen lifting Real Warri Pikin during his performance, sparking mixed reactions from social media users.
Addressing the incident in a video, the comedian explained that Timaya had invited a woman from the audience to join him on stage.
She revealed that she was initially hesitant because she did not want to jump around during the performance. However, she eventually joined the singer after he assured her that everything would be fine.
According to her, the situation took an unexpected turn when Timaya lifted her in front of the crowd, leaving her in an awkward position.
Real Warri Pikin noted that although the moment was received as entertainment by those at the event, some social media users interpreted it differently and began questioning her actions and values.
Appealing to Nigerians to be less judgmental, she said, “Make una take am easy, I beg. I’m sorry. I take full responsibility of my actions.”
