According to the woman, her husband had been working as an offshore chef since 2011 and travelled to work on July 29, 2024.
She said that about a week after arriving at the workplace, he called her through WhatsApp to report that there was a gang-up against him.
According to her, she advised him not to quarrel with anyone and to remain calm.
She said, however, that by August 6, 2024, her husband had disappeared and could no longer be found.
The woman claimed that other workers told her they only found his phone and wallet on his bed after he went missing.
She further alleged that the phone and wallet were eventually returned to the family about one year after his disappearance.
According to her, another disturbing development occurred three days after the disappearance when one of the bakers reportedly called her and asked for her husband’s password.
The woman has now raised concerns over what happened to her husband and is seeking answers regarding his whereabouts and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
The case has generated reactions online, with some Nigerians calling for an investigation and others urging authorities and the company involved to provide answers.
