Prophet John Papa Jesus has announced a new minimum offering of GH¢50 for members of his church, saying he will no longer accept offerings below that amount.
In a statement to his congregation, the prophet declared that he had increased the church’s offering rate to 20 percent and would only accept contributions starting from GH¢50.
“I’ve increased the church offering rate to 20%. I will accept only offerings of GH¢50 and above,” he said.
The announcement has sparked reactions on social media, with some users debating the decision to set a minimum amount for offerings in the church.
While some religious leaders encourage members to give according to their means, Prophet John Papa Jesus has opted to introduce a specific minimum for offerings in his congregation.
The new directive means members who wish to make offerings during church services are expected to give at least GH¢50, according to the prophet’s announcement.
