Kwara Gov, Speaker Condole With Leadership Editor Olesin Over Mother’s Death

The Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has condoled with the Regional Editor of Leadership Newspapers, Alhaji Abdullahi Hanafi Olesin, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Munirat Hanafi Imam Olesin.

Alhaja Munirat Olesin died on Tuesday at the age of 87, and has been buried according to Islamic rites.

The janazah prayer was led by the chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Mohammed Bashir Dasuki Fulani .

In a statement on Tuesday, the governor, who described the death of Alhaja Olesin as painful, said the deceased lived a good life.

The governor commiserated with her family, most especially her son, Alhaji Olesin, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ), where he is serving as Publicity Secretary, and the entire media community over the incident.

He prayed to Allaah to grant Alhaja Munirat Al-jannah Firdaus, and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

In his condolence message, the speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly and APC Governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu sympathised with Alhaji Olesin on the passing of his dear mother.

Danladi-Salihu described Alhaja Munirat as a virtuous and responsible woman who lived a life worthy of emulation and left behind legacies of devotion, commitment and dedication to Islam, family and community development.

The speaker also identified with the entire Imam Olesin family, urging them to be comforted with the good life Alhaja Munirat lived.

The APC governorship candidate prayed to Allah to forgive and grant Alhaja Munirat Aljanat Fridaos and give Alhaji Olesin and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
